New Mossy Oak Pro Staff Turkey Division

Before the season started this year I put in a application for a position for a Mossy Oak Pro Staff (turkey division) in my area. Well as it turns out I was picked for the job and I'm now a Pro staff for Mossy Oak. I will be going to promotional shows and working with stores and organizations through out my area. Pretty cool stuff don't you think! I will let you all know how things go and what I get to do this year.

2008 Turkey season

This season was not as good as we predicted it to be. We had a lot of windy days this year during our annual hunt. So I tried to break the ice by shooting one of the many Jakes that we had been seeing during our hunts. It turns out that the Jake was the only bird that was taken this season by our team. I'm proud of this Jake it was a beauty and didn't go but 15 yards after the Inter-Lok three blade expandable broadhead hit it's mark, taking out both legs cutting them in half at the bottom of the ball joints of the hip joint. I will post some pictures of the Jake later.

Getting ready for the 2008 season

Hi everyone we are already into the next year and the turkey season is next month here in Texas. We have been out scouting and finding new places to hunt this year. We are gearing up for the season with some new calls also. We have now Slate in our Turkey Coffin's along with the glass and we can also make them into combo's with slate and glass. Also we have put the slate on all the other slate call models we offer. We have a big supply of box calls that have been hand tuned to make them toms strut their stuff! This is the Original "Turkey Coffin" 30$ plus 5$ shipping.

It is designed to be used like a slate call by using the striker (that comes with the call) on the Longated glass slate on the back of the call ,and by turning the box in the direction you want the sound to go like a speaker works. This way you can call to the tom straight at him or to the side so he does not see you or so he sees the decoys that you have set. This call is only about 5 inches long by 1 1/2 inches wide at the top and the striker has a spot at the top of the call to carry it quitely.
